Hong Kong Lesbian & Gay Film Festival
From Taiwanese and Malaysian gender-themed production Miss Andy to coming-of-age Irish romcom Dating Amber, this year’s Lesbian & Gay Film Festival is highlighting a diverse range of cinema works that brings awareness to the experiences of the LGBTQ community. On December 2, join the panel discussion at Eaton HK to learn about the making of the documentary film Welcome to Chechnya, which sheds light on the anti-gay purges in Russia in the late 2010s.

Hong Kong Cocktail Weeks
There is no better way to kick off the year-end parties than bar-hopping, so let’s start off the month with showing some love to the city’s best mixologists and much-loved watering holes. The Hong Kong Cocktail Weeks highlights the finest cocktails the city has to offer, hoping to bring back the bustling bar scene in Hong Kong. Redress Design Award 2020 Exhibition
The Redress Design Award will be showcasing the looks from finalists of the 2020 cycle, featuring waste-reducing looks from world’s up and coming menswear and womenswear designers. Out of the 14 designers showcasing their sustainable work, three of them will be from Hong Kong. The exhibition will take place at The Forest, a sustainable environment surrounded by greenery in the midst of Mongkok.

The Art of DC: The Dawn of Superheroes exhibition
Calling all DC fans out there, it is time to assemble. For three months, ‘The Art of DC’ exhibition at Portal 6311 will feature more than 200 original comic pages, a selection of authentic costumes from movies and original comic drawings. Marking its premiere in Asia, fans can enter the world of DC comics and join the interactive games at the exhibition. Tickets are available online.

Giving Tuesday
As jolly as December may be, don’t forget that this is also the season to give and spread love. Join ImpactHK’s action to give the homeless a warm and filling Christmas. Starting from Giving Tuesday, you can donate to the NGOs’ crowdfunding platform to spread a little joy. Hoping to raise $300,000, their dedicated volunteers hope to serve 30,000 meals to people experiencing homelessness, local street cleaners and underprivileged seniors. All profits go directly to the homeless in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Living Christmas Charity Lunch
Following our Christmas Getaway, we are also celebrating the festive season with a three-course Christmas lunch and free-flow drinks at Ruam. The lunch will raise funds to support Feeding Hong Kong and Box of Hope, with all raffle proceeds donated.

Three Islands Green Race
If you’re thinking of a way to burn off your Christmas feasts, join the fellow runners at Three Islands Green Race. The advanced run covers Lamma, Hong Kong Island and followed by Lantau Island, with the races stretching across a 31-kilometer trail. For those who dare, challenge yourselves to the fourth island, Tung Lung Chau, for an extra 9 kilometers. Traveling time from one island to the other will not be counted into race time.
