Wan Chai
Wan Chai runs from the harbour up into the older streets behind it, known for its restaurants and its nightlife in roughly equal measure. Dim sum sits a few doors from Italian, Japanese and Thai, with a quieter bar strip tucked behind the main road. Our building is on Tai Yuen Street, the old market street known for its toy stalls. Trams, buses and the MTR all pass close by, so the rest of the island and Kowloon are a short ride away.
The building and the studios
A modern apartment building with lift access, a minute from Wan Chai MTR, with 24-hour security and one unit per floor. The four studios below are each around 320 sq ft with a queen bed, from HK$19,000 a month, and there are no agency fees.
Every studio is furnished and serviced: a hotel-quality mattress, a kitchenette with utensils, cutlery and tableware, a TV with Netflix, a fridge, kettle, microwave and hairdryer, air conditioning and heating, and wifi. Weekly cleaning and linen change are included, and laundry pick-up and drop-off is available for an extra charge.
