In collaboration with SOHO east
This Christmas season is looking a lot different than usual. With travel out of the question, many of us are finding alternative ways to spend the holidays. Located by the waterfront in Sai Wan Ho, SOHO east is a laidback neighbourhood of restaurants, cafés and pubs. Its strategic location by the sea, as well as the selection of dining establishments along the coastline, makes it a great holiday destination for families, pet owners and anyone looking to have a good time. Come Christmas Eve, take your loved ones on a vacation at home and head to the waterside locale for a night of festivities.

Cull ‘N Pistol
Named in reference to lobsters that have one or both claws missing, Cull ’N Pistol offers a relaxing and enticingly fresh seafood experience on the shores of Sai Wan Ho. Channelling the spirit of New England’s storied seafood tradition, the restaurant brings an East Coast American twist to its food creations. Its Clam Bake, consisting of half a lobster, clams, mussels, shrimps, baby squid, corn and potatoes served in a rich shellfish broth, is particularly popular with diners. Asides from its regular rotation of winter drinks, made with warming spices such as ginger and cinnamon, Cull ‘N Pistol is also offering a festive menu. This holiday, diners can indulge in a main course of the Stuffed Chicken with Porcini Truffle Cream Sauce along with the restaurant’s signature Clam Bake.

bistro east
Inspired by the casual bistros found in France, bistro east is an international steakhouse and bar serving up a range of cuisines, from Mexican and Italian dishes to French and Spanish tapas. New on the menu this season is the Beef Cheek, which is marinated overnight in a variety of spices and wine before being slow cooked for eight hours. The restaurant also holds an impressive beverage selection, with wines from a number of countries and regions to pair with your food. For Christmas, bistro east has readied a set dinner with multiple choices, where you can choose from a beef, pork, chicken, lobster or fish main course – guaranteed to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.

The Salted Pig
Located on the waterfront, The Salted Pig is instantly recognisable by its signature English farmhouse charm and quirky pig-themed decor. With a space that spans 3000-square-feet and a bar that comfortably seats 80 people, the pork specialist eatery is suitable for corporate functions, private events and of course, Christmas parties. Long known as a family-style restaurant for enjoying a casual meal, The Salted Pig’s menu, embracing all that is pork, remains largely unchanged. Sharing platters of delicious porky goodness and hearty ‘oink-free’ mains are the fare, with new menu items popping up come special holidays. Which brings us to its Christmas offering: a festive three-course dinner set beginning with the Roast Beef Bone Marrow; followed by a main of the Christmas Rolled Pork Belly; and finished with the Christmas Panettone Tiramisu. Have yourself a porky good time this season.
