Café Gray Deluxe

The jewel in the crown of The Upper House hotel in Admiralty, Café Gray Deluxe is one of the most romantic restaurants and bars in Hong Kong. Whether you sit in one of the intimate corner banquettes by the bar or at one of the elegantly set tables in the main restaurant, one thing’s for certain – you’ll enjoy amazing harbour views from the 49th floor perch. The menu changes throughout the year, but usually you can opt for a five-course sit-down dinner that comes complete with fresh breads, amuse bouche and chunks of milk and dark chocolate to round out the evening. Wine pairings are optional, but we’d highly recommend the entire experience.

Wooloomooloo Prime

Wooloomooloo Prime offers an excellent vantage point to take in the views of Victoria Harbour at anytime of the day. Offering glittering views of the Hong Kong skyline from the 21st floor, the steakhouse serves excellent cuts from Australia and the US, as well as various seafood options. Across the 10,000 square feet space, diners will admire the warm wood decor, private dining rooms, theatrical open kitchens and open terrace. From this stratospheric perch, you’ll enjoy the spectacular views of Tsim Sha Tsui and surrounding Victoria Harbour.

Ozone

Set on top of the 118th of the Ritz-Carlton, Ozone claims to be the highest bar in the world, at a staggering height of 484 metres above ground level. Its glamorous modern interiors play second best to the shocking birds-eye-view of Victoria Harbour. While the rooftop bar is better known for its cocktail offerings, it also serves a range of small bites like sushi, sashimi and tapas and is open for Sunday brunch.

Cobo House

This newly opened restaurant in K11 Musea offers a front-row seat to Victoria Harbour. Decked out in floor-to-ceiling glass and aesthetic grey wash walls, Cobo House is the perfect vantage point for soaking in unobstructed views of the city’s dazzling skyline. Watch out for the fine diner’s surprise tasting menu ‘The Knife & Spoon’. The menu rotates every six weeks and features a different seasonal ingredient each time.

Sevva

Sevva is located in the penthouse of the Prince’s Building, level with the HSBC and Bank Of China Building, in the heart of Central. The panoramic, wrap-around terrace offers 360-degree views of the stunning Hong Kong skyline and light show at 8pm. The restaurant is split into five areas: two dining rooms serving a range of luxury dishes including ‘double take’ Wagyu Tenderloin, a terrace, taste bar and Sevva Sweets Corner. Perch on the outdoor terrace and sip on a sundowner while watching the buildings light up in the night.

Aqua

Sitting pretty atop One Peking tower in Tsim Sha Tsui, Aqua serves up a winning combination of Japanese and Italian flavours, including sushi, sashimi and delicate pasta. And if that weren’t enough of a selling point, the atmospheric bar and restaurant is among the best places in the city to admire Hong Kong. Head here for pre-dinner cocktails with your partner – try a classic martini or one of the hand-crafted signatures – or stay for a long, lingering diner. Hutong

A northern Chinese specialist one level below Aqua, Hutong channels the namesake courtyard-style house, evidenced by the traditional terracotta tiles, red lanterns and antique wooden furniture. But in contrast to the narrow streets of Beijing, Hutong showcases full picture windows with expansive views of Hong Kong’s skyline. As for the menu, you can expect elevated Chinese classics, such as black truffle scented abalone and Chongqing chilli crab. If dining in a big group, ask about one of the private rooms so you can stretch out.

Alto

Perched on the 31st floor in Causeway Bay, Alto spoils guests with breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The restaurant is designed by Tom Dixon and is his acclaimed design studio’s first project in Asia. The result is an effortlessly chic dining space embellished with blackened timber tabletops and Dixon’s signature hanging pendant lights.

Popinjays

Popinjays takes its name from the resident cockatoos that can be found along Garden Road, Hong Kong Park and the Botanical Gardens. The rooftop restaurant and bar is located in the penthouse of The Murray hotel and looks out onto the surrounding high-rise buildings. After your meal, head out onto the 420-square meter outdoor terrace to get that perfect instagram shot.
