Aberdeen Country Park

Designated in 1977, Aberdeen Country Park is one of the city’s oldest country park situated in the southern end of Hong Kong Island. Take your pup away from the hustle and bustle and bask in the beautiful natural environment of the 423-hectare green space.

Dragon’s Back

One of Hong Kong’s most iconic trails, the rolling hills of Dragon’s Back will bring your fitness levels to the test. A quick tip is to start the trail early to avoid crowds of avid hikers and tourists so you can spend some much-needed quality time with your best friend.

Lamma Island

A tranquil escape just 30 minutes away from Central, Lamma Island is known for its seafood, laidback lifestyle and friendly community. Take your dog on a walk from Sok Kwu Wan to Yung Shue Wan, the two main villages on the island. You can stop at some of the dog-friendly restaurants along the way and cool off at Power Station Beach afterwards.

Twin Peaks

This short but challenging hike is guaranteed to have both you and your pet panting and ready for a snack. The trees along the trail provide a shady cover to hide from the sun and there are spectacular views to marvel at along the way. Remember to bring an extra bottle of water as steep stairs away when going up the Twins.

Let your furry friend take a dip at Bride’s Pool, before setting off through the bamboo groves past the villages to Lai Chi Wo. One word of caution – make sure your dog does not drink from the pools, since they may catch leptospirosis, which can cause liver and kidney damage in animals.
